Kula Practice: Intermediate/Advanced Asana Practice
Saturday Oct. 5 & Nov. 9, 2024
1:00 PM 4:00 PM
Practicing with your yoga community can be a powerful and joyful experience. There is freedom and energy in a community practice that is different from a class. In many yoga communities, there exists an opportunity for teachers and students dedicated to their asana practice to come together to practice. In the method of Anusara Yoga, our practice was called the “Eye of the Tiger.” The list of poses can be done within a 5-hour practice, but we commit to 3. There is a playlist, a list of asanas (like a roadmap) and face each other in camaraderie. All classes of poses are covered.
What I have learned about practice, is that it allows us to step into the same river, differently, every time. While the pose list tips to the Intermediate/Advanced postures, students are invited to be curious and respectful of their limitations and are encouraged to respond to moments of challenge creatively.
